Ridgid One-Handed Reciprocating Saw Review

This post is sponsored by The Home Depot.

She is beauty, she is grace, the Ridgid One-Handed Reciprocating Saw is worth the hype. We have never had a one-handed reciprocating saw in our shop before, sure we might have used a regular saw one-handed before to get the job done, pretty or not. Let me tell you...this saw...I seriously don't even know how to describe it. Let's get into this reciprocating saw review!

Let me give you some of the facts. There is an On/Off orbital action, so "on" for faster wood cutting and "off" for metal cutting. When you pair this guy with the Octane battery, you get 2.5x more power compared to the corded counterpart. I also noticed that the vibration is a lot lower than a normal reciprocating saw, and turns out I was right, about 30% lower. Which should be a given because of the one-handed use.

A few other features that are super nice to have:

There is a sight line blower, so as you're cutting the sawdust is getting blown away to keep your visibility.

You can turn on the LED light with its own button, but also from the trigger. This is super nice to use when you are in a tight, dark space and need to line up, but can't risk turning the saw on to engage the light.

I will say that it is super comfortable. I was a little skeptical about the one-handed operation because I just thought that would feel awkward, but it doesn't at all. It feels even more awkward to use two hands actually, but you could totally do it still. For $129, I think it's a great price if you're someone who demos a lot or uses this type of tool in the workplace. This tool is backed by the Industry-Leading Lifetime Service Agreement with registration within 90 days of purchase, so make sure you do that!

You can check the Ridigd One-Handed Reciprocating Saw out in-store at The Home Depot, or online right here! I suggest ordering online, during these crazy times still! Thank you for reading this reciprocating saw review, I hope you learned something new!
