DeWalt Atomic Mini Circular Saw | Review

For real, tools like this are SO handy! I can't get over it. We work with plywood and sheet goods a lot, so having the DeWalt Atomic Mini Circular Saw is really helpful to break down these big sheets. This way they are a lot easier to handle for cutting on the table saw. We usually keep this right in our cabinet ready to go, so as soon as we bring in a sheet good, we go ahead and cut it down to be stored easier. When we do this, these materials are for a project and we have our measurements marked down, so we will break the sheets down accordingly.

Let's talk shop. So like I said before, this is a MINI circular saw. Crazy. Technology and innovation are crazy. So this is why it's so convenient to break down sheet goods as soon as they come into the shop. We don't have to bring out this big ole circ saw, or even track saw, plug it in, line up the track...nope, not today. This DeWalt saw is so cute and little, compared to a regular saw, and also compact.

Now onto the motor. Brushless is totally the way to go. Absolutely no doubt. Brushless motors last so much longer as far as their life time goes. This saw can cut up to 340 linear feet of 3/4" OSB using the DCB205 battery. If your on a construction crew and your on sheathing duty....*cough cough*. You can even cut 2x4s with this thing, so that pretty cool! You can bevel this saw to 45° to cut 1x materials with the 4 1/2" blade.

To start the tool, there is this lever that you have to push down and push in the trigger for it to start. Once it's started, you can let go of the lever, but keep on pressing on the trigger. This is just a safety thing and not a huge deal. Also, this does come with a dust port, so I super appreciate that and not having to sweep up so much sawdust!
