Ridgid Octane 18V Rotary Hammer Review

This post is sponsored by The Home Depot.

Okay, if you're looking into getting a rotary hammer, then go ahead and get a SDS one! We highly recommend the Ridgid Octane Brushless 18V 1 in. SDS-Plus Rotary Hammer and we will tell you why in this review! You are seriously ready to go and start drilling right out of the box. With the best in class power and intelligence, you know you've got the right tool on your hands.

To get the most out of this tool, make sure you pair it with one of Ridgid's Octane batteries. This will allow 50% faster drilling for high demand applications, as well as longevity of the tool. A feature that we absolutely love is the XVR technology that reduces vibration. Vibration can be a pain, in the you know where, but this new technology produces greater comfort and less fatigue, which also gives you more control.

Right on the side you have a few different modes: drilling, hammering, and chiseling. This will give you the right power for the application. Under the trigger you also have a safety button, so the tool isn't ready until you are. Once you press that button and the trigger together, you can release the safety and you're good to go. The depth stop nob is super easy to adjust. You have a quick release button on top of the handle and you can move that rod up or down with ease. One more thing about the motor, it has a mechanical clutch that prevents binding and protects the tool. We love that this rotary hammer has all the power, but can also be protected. This rotary hammer does have a little bit of weight to it, but in my opinion, I would rather take the weight than dragging around a power cord, even though the corded vs non-corded give about that same power.

With all that said, can't recommend this tool enough! Long battery life and everything! Check this out in-store or online right here! Thank you reading this rotary hammer review, we hope you learned something new!
